Martin Traylor

Martin Traylor’s service as a deacon to the RABC congregation began in the spring of 2010. Accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior as a youth, he was ordained a Southern-Baptist Deacon at Harmony Baptist Church, near Fort Leonard-Wood Missouri in 2000. Originally from Somerville, Tennessee, Martin entered the Army as a Military Policeman in 1988, and served multiple tours in Iraq, and many other austere locations in support of national strategic interests. He and his family moved to the Central Texas area in 2008, and immediately joined RABC. After a 23 year career, he retired from Active Duty as a Command Sergeant Major. Martin loved being a Soldier, and considers himself fortunate to be able to continue to serve the tremendous number of families, Service Members and veterans who call RABC home today.

Martin holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, and Graduate Certificates in Intelligence and National Security from the University of Texas at El Paso. In addition to his Army Civilian posting as the Transition Services Manager for Fort Hood, Martin teaches on request, as Adjunct Faculty in the Homeland Security, Emergency Management, and Criminal Justice Programs at Central Texas College.

Martin and his wife Cheryl have been married 26 years, and are the proud parents of three children.
